Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I set the tent up myself?
You could, but I prefer to set it up and take it down so that I know the tent is setup and taken down correctly. It saves you the hassle of having to figure out what goes where.....
Can you set the tent up the day before my event?
I prefer to set the tent(s) up the day before an event, (does not effect tent price) especially if it is at a private residence. The only exceptions I have are:
1. It is going to thunderstorm the day before but looks sunny the next day, in the morning.
2. The tent is to be set up in a public park, I'd prefer to set that up in the morning of the event day.
Does the tent have to be set up on grass?
The tent needs to be anchored into the ground whether it is grass, dirt or stone. I am willing to do water barrels but you would have to supply the barrels and water. Let me know if you have an idea, usually we can work something out.
How can I pay you?
I accept cash or check, paid the day that I set the tents up. You can also pay me via PayPal. If you want to use PayPal email me for more information.
Do you have sidewalls for your tent?
Yes and No. Please call and ask.
How long does it take you to setup the tent?
I can set the 20' x 30' tent up in about 30 minutes if there are no objects in my way. Each set up is different but usually I average 25-35 minutes per tent.
How many people can I get under each tent?
Check out each tent under the 'TENTS' section and it should have layouts using 5' Round Tables, 6' Round Tables and 8' Rectangular Tables. Here is a quick outline though for each tent:
20' x 20'- 48 max. people sitting at tables, 60 max. people sitting & 80 max. people standing.
20' x 30'- 80 max. people sitting at tables, 100 max. people sitting & 120 max. people standing.
20' x 40'- 112 max. people sitting at tables, 120 max. people sitting & 140 max. people standing.
What if it starts to rain or thunderstorm?
Remember the tent is a temporary structure and is not meant to be permanent. If it starts to rain you could probably hang out under the tent, but if the winds begin to get severe or it begins to thunder and lightning, I would evacuate the tent as it could come down with a large gust, causing bodily harm. Besides the wind, you are basically sitting underneath multiple lightning rods that are reaching for the sky; use common sense and don't try to win the yearly "Darwin Award"
Can I decorate the tent?
Yes you can decorate the tent, but please, nothing permanent or you will have to pay for the damages. No crete paper (colored streamers) on the white tent top, if the paper is colored and gets wet it will stain the white top. Also please take down all decorations before I come to pick the tent up.
How far will you deliver?
I try to stay within 20-25 miles of zip code 13219. I do make exceptions; I have gone as far south as Lafayette and as far north as Fulton. Of course I will go farther; it would just cost you more for my gas.
Can I set the tent up in a park?
I have set the tents up in parks around town, so it is possible. I recommend you talk to the people at the park to make sure it is ok. I would hate to get there and then have a Ranger tell you the tent can't happen.
Do I need to give you a deposit?
No deposit is required at this time, but if you want to pay a deposit, I will take it.
Do I need to sign the waiver?
Yes, it's the legal stuff you have to sign, so I don't get sued.
